At Cane Surfaces, our mission is to deliver exceptional flooring solutions while creating real, lasting impact in our community. Through our Hope Underfoot program, we turn every project into an opportunity to provide safer, healthier homes for underserved individuals—because we believe everyone deserves a solid foundation.

In Volusia County, thousands of elderly, disabled, and underserved residents are living in unsafe and unhealthy housing conditions:
These conditions leave many vulnerable neighbors at risk, often living in homes that actively threaten their health and safety.

At Cane Surfaces, we believe everyone deserves a safe, healthy place to call home. That’s why we created the Hope Underfoot initiative—an ongoing program that turns flooring projects into direct action for community good.
Here’s how it works:

You were going to upgrade your floors anyway—so why not choose a company that gives back while delivering exceptional results? When you work with Cane Surfaces, you get beautiful, durable new flooring and automatically contribute to our Hope Underfoot program. 3% of your project cost goes directly to helping someone in need—at no extra cost to you. It's a simple way to turn your renovation into real impact.

Want to roll up your sleeves or use your talents for good? We're always looking for volunteers to support our mission:

Can’t volunteer or start a flooring project right now? You can still make a powerful impact by donating.
Whether it’s $1 or the cost to fund an entire home, every cent goes directly into the Hope Underfoot Fund—used for flooring materials, installation, and support services. You can even specify how you’d like your donation used, from a single room to a full home transformation.

When you choose Cane Surfaces, you get access to top-tier commercial flooring materials, expert installation, and seamless project management. Whether you're upgrading a retail space, office, or facility, we deliver durable, high-performance results that elevate your environment—on time and on budget.

As part of our Hope Underfoot initiative, 3% of your project cost is donated directly to providing flooring for underserved members of the community. This portion of your payment may qualify as a charitable contribution, allowing you to claim a tax deduction—so you're giving back while getting something back.

Your project does more than improve your space—it transforms someone else’s life. Every contribution helps fund new flooring for elderly, disabled, or low-income individuals living in unsafe or unhealthy conditions. On average, every 10 projects fully funds a complete flooring installation for a household in need. Together, we’re building better homes—and a stronger, more connected community

Hope Underfoot is a charitable initiative created by Cane Surfaces in October 2025. Our mission is to provide safe, healthy flooring for elderly, disabled, and underserved individuals living in unsafe or unhealthy conditions. We fund and install new flooring in homes that need it most—starting right here in our local community.
For every commercial flooring project completed through Cane Surfaces, 3% of the total cost is donated directly to the Hope Underfoot Fund. That money is used to purchase flooring materials and cover installation costs for recipients in need. Additionally, we accept volunteer help and direct donations from individuals, businesses, and community partners.
On average, every 10 commercial flooring projects fully funds one complete home flooring installation for a recipient in need. As our project volume and donor base grow, so does our impact. In our first year, we aim to support 10–15 households, with plans to expand significantly in the years ahead.
We prioritize elderly, disabled, disaster-impacted, and low-income individuals or families living in unsafe, damaged, or unsanitary flooring conditions. Applications are reviewed and selected through a community-based process to ensure fairness and transparency.
100% of donated funds go directly toward materials, installation, and recipient support—not overhead. Our administrative costs are covered separately by Cane Surfaces. We document each project and share before-and-after photos, recipient stories (with permission), and year-end impact reports to keep our donors and community informed and engaged.
Yes. Hope Underfoot was officially established in October 2025 and is currently in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Once finalized, donations will be fully tax-deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines. Until then, consult with your tax advisor regarding potential deductions.
We are currently focused on Volusia County, Florida, and surrounding areas—but we plan to expand our reach as resources and capacity allow.
